Conventional 1seg Image
Morpho's Frame Interpolation Technique

Overview

This is the technique of generating intermediate images from moving images of 15 frames per second in 1seg TV broadcasting (mobile terrestrial digital audio/video and data broadcasting service in Japan) to make them 30 frames per second at maximum. The conventional frame interpolation technique is not really able to handle the rapidly-switched scenes and other scenes which require very large movement between frames. It sometimes caused an unnatural interpolation frame. However, "FrameSolid&trade" is to detect the movement within the images and create the intermediate images corresponding to the movement. Therefore, more smooth and natural moving images can be offered in the 1seg TV broadcasting. "FrameSolid&trade" enables the viewers to enjoy TV images with high definition and realistic sensation.
