Tokyo, Japan – November 11, 2015 – Morpho, Inc. (hereinafter, “Morpho”), a global leader in image processing solutions, announced today that “MovieSolid” and “Morpho Video WDR” are featured in Cadence Design Systems, Inc. (hereinafter, “Cadence”) Tensilica Vision P5 DSP. Thereby, Cadence’s DSP has increased its processing speed from 3.0 to 7.8 times faster than the case of conventional CPU. Morpho continues to expand market share as an Ecosystem with Cadence.
About the Product
MovieSolid is an embedded software program for stabilizing a video. MovieSolid uses “SOFTGYRO®
” for detecting motions accurately between consecutive image frames and correcting them in up to 6 degrees of freedom (DOF: pitch, yaw, back/forth, rolling in x, y, z directions). Furthermore, MovieSolid is a capable of correcting geometric distortions (i.e., rolling shutter distortions) caused due to a CMOS sensor. With an accelerometer and a GYRO sensor, MovieSolid can obtain a better stabilization with less computational resources and low power consumption.
Morpho Video WDR™
Morpho Video WDR is an embedded software program for correcting the dynamic range of colors and adjusting the brightness of an image. Morpho Video WDR can estimate the dynamic range of colors from only a single image, apply a local tone mapping over the entire image and globally correct the brightness from the estimated dynamic range of colors.
There are two different modes as predefined parameter settings:
1. "natural", close to our perception of colors
2. "art", more dramatic and artistic than "natural"
