AI Technology to Optimize Image Quality for Each Object in Image Introduced at Snapdragon Tech Summit Digital 2020
Tokyo, Japan – December 3rd, 2020–Morpho, Inc. (hereinafter, “Morpho”), a global leader in image processing and imaging AI solutions, announced today during the Snapdragon Tech Summit Digital 2020 that “Morpho Semantic Filtering™”, an image segmentation and enhancement technology powered by their latest AI, was optimized for the new flagship Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 888 5G Mobile Platform. This is Morpho's second-year participation in this event to introduce a technology optimized for Snapdragon.
“Morpho Semantic Filtering” uses AI to segment the area of an object in the image and to apply image enhancement optimized for each area. The latest version is trained to recognize multiple segmentation categories in landscape scenes (consisting of 8 different classes and more), and is able to apply software pixel processing in combination with a technology that optimizes segmentation results to achieve more precise segmentation of objects even to their details. This new addition of highly accurate segmentation leads to natural and impressive image quality without unnatural effects that are fully optimized with 6th generation Qualcomm® AI Engine and the Qualcomm Spectra™ 580 ISP.
